Reading is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Reading is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Pennsylvania's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Perfect diner. Ordered a turkey club, obviously, and it was delicious and the bacon was nicely smoked. Husband got a grilled chicken sandwich and he said it was really good. We both had soup which was perfect. I decided on coffee and cherry pie to end the night, little Twin Peaks essence. Forgot to take photos of the sandwiches because I was starving lol.

Had a wonderful dinner at Exeter Family Restaurant, mostly thanks to our waitress Cathy! She really knew the menu inside and out and gave us fantastic recommendations that made our meal even better. She was warm, attentive, and clearly cares about giving guests a great experience. Ask for Cathy when you go β she'll take great care of you! Want me to tweak the tone (shorter, more casual, etc.) or mention specific dishes she recommended?

Food is excellent with a great service. They have booth and tables. Booth is perfect for 2-4 people. Table is perfect for 5 people. For more than 5 people also, they have few booths inside. Service is excellent. Clearly explained about food and answered all our questions patiently. Food served fast as the crowd was less over weekend. Not sure when it is fully occupied. Each entree comes soup & salad. The soup and salad are self served. Great options available. 2 soups were available. One the turkey noodle soup and other was tomato basil soup. Salad also had plenty of veggies. We can take the small plates on our own and get the salad. Soup also can be taken in the cups. At salad section, there wasn't a display of the dish so it was little hard to identify what the dish is. Main course was served to the table. We tried Chicken Quesadilla, Chicken Teriyaki Pot stickers, Chicken Pasta, Fried Chicken. Chicken Teriyaki Pot stickers came with 5-6 pieces. Fried chicken has 1 wing. 1 drumstick, 1 breat and 1 thigh along with French fries. No sauce was served but ketchup, butter, honey mustard sauce were kept on each table along with salt and pepper. They placed the check on table. It wa

We love Exeter. Always a great meal ! Today was terrific. There were 7 of us. Our waitress was Jessica C ! She was so friendly and attentive. She made us feel like we were family πEveryone enjoyed their meals. Fried chicken , Chopped Steak , Cheesesteak all hits ! I tried something new to the menu - Poblano Chicken Pasta. It was creamy and delicious. The soup and salad bar are always clean and well stocked. The stuffed pepper soup was so good !

Stopped by Exeter Family Restaurant for a comforting meal and left very impressed. The all-day salad and soup combo is a winnerβcrisp, fresh ingredients paired with their absolutely delicious Pepperpot soup. It was rich, perfectly seasoned, and hit the spot. The sweet potato fries were cooked to perfection: crispy on the outside, soft inside, and not greasy at all. Ended the meal with a slice of cherry pie topped with ice creamβthe perfect sweet finish with tart, flavorful cherries and creamy vanilla. Great food, cozy atmosphere, and friendly service. Highly recommend!
